Commander [Bracket 1] 'Nine Nine!'

This deck came about purely after I was introduced to Jalira, Master Polymorphist, and I realised I enjoyed the idea of 'spinning the wheel' to see what non-legendary creature they would find, and if each of those creatures would have a fun impact on the game.

I settled on the Four Commander Targets by way of 'big fun blue things'; Chancellor of the Spires I wanted to run because of either an early game mill, or the opportunity to re-play a fun large Instant or Sorcery of an opponents'. The idea of Grozoth is to stock my hand with big fun spells to play later on; Inkwell Leviathan simply a big large creature that's difficult to interact with. And finally, if I hit Kederekt Leviathan then the board gets reset.
All four are in Foil to make them easier to spot when revealing with Jalira.

To ensure the commander hits consistently one of the four targets; all other creatures in the deck have to be Legendary Creatures. These range from token generators, card draw, group hug effects and a few unexpected surprises to keep my opponents guessing.

The rest of the deck features Arcane spells mainly for the novelty of playing them! Though they can work with The Unspeakable if that gets tutored for.
The remaining Instants & Sorceries are both for interaction, and for creating a creature token that the commander can sacrifice to begin digging for its target.

The Other Permanents serve to augment the board, the mana base, and to provide a bit of graveyard-into-library recursion.

Finally for the Lands proper, I realised that aside from a few fun lands to play around with, I really like the land design with the single Blue mana pip in the bottom-left-hand corner, and there was sufficient variety of these to include one from every Universes Within release (plus a few pretty Secret Lairs). It also includes the Command Tower from 2025 CommandFest in Birmingham that I was unable to get to due to illness, but my friend very kindly picked up my copy for me.
